일단 콤마와 and 의 관계는 이렇습니다.

 

콤마 필요

It’s cold outside, and I can’t find my coat. (and 기준에서 앞뒤 포인트에 주어 + 동사 모두 존재)

 

콤마 필요없음

Sam tossed the ball and watched the dog chase it. (주어가 같아서 생략시)

The most important issue is how the people prioritize their life values , and  the people should realize how they live out their values daily.

• 넵 위 문장에서는 comma 가 필요합니다. 이유는 and 를 기준으로 앞 뒤 문장이 서로 다른 주어+ 동사 를 가지고 있는 문장이기 때문입니다.

 

<예를 들어 보죠>

#1. Miguel took piano lessons for sixteen years, and he is an accomplished performer. (주어가 같아도, and 기준 앞 뒤 문장에 주어+ 동사 가 존재하면, 콤마 필요합니다.)

#2. Miguel took piano lessons for sixteen years and today is an accomplished performer. (he 생략) 이때는 콤마 없습니다.)

Once I have borrowed a camera from my close friend to take pictures in campus and I returned it right away after I used it.

• 여기서는 당연히 콤마가 들어갑니다. 하지만, “I” 를 생략한다면 “ in campus and returned it” 인 경우는 콤마 필요 없습니다.
