안녕하세요. 제가 라이팅 실전모의고사 task1 제일 처음 시작하는 1강 듣고있는데요.
개요에서
The admissions in all courses increased. 라고 하셨는데
만약에 in all courses 대신에 in all of the courses 라고 하면 틀리나요?
The admissions in all of the courses in the graph increased. 이렇게하면 어색한 문장이 되나요?
The admissions of all courses increased 이것도 어색한가요?
어쩐지 강의를 들어서 그런지, 제가 만든 문장들이 어색한 것 처럼 느껴지긴하는데 왜 어색한지 기본문법이 부족해서 왜 어색한지를 모르겠어요 ㅠㅠ
그리고 admissions의 동의어로 enrolments 또는 number of students who enroll 이라고 말씀해주셨는데,
the number of students 또는 numbers of the students라고 하면 어색한가요?
the가 붙고 안 붙는 거랑 언제 all이 되고 all of가 되는지 number of 나 the number of 또는 numbers of 이런것들이 너무너무 헷갈려요....

All 만 붙일 때는 보편적 동사 (인간, 물 등, 그리고 말하고자하는 것들이 그룹으로 이해될때)
All humans are animals.
All water is drinkable.

All the 가 올때는 (명사가 따라옴) 원래는 all of the 이나, of 가 생략됨
All the students in my class studied hard.
I used all the paper in my notebook.
They drank all the water they had.
All the people I know were there.
All my friends are eating pizza.
All of the 가 올때는 (명사가 따라옴) 특정한 명사일때
All of the students in my class studied hard.
I used all of the paper in my notebook.
They drank all of the water they had.

All of 만 쓸때는 대명사 또는 소유격따라올때, (my, them 등)
All of them are animals.
All of my friends are eating pizza.
따라서 질문내용중 아래는 모두 가능합니다 ㅎ

마지막으로
the number of students 또는 numbers of the students
여기서 지칭하는 the number 는 “숫자는” 이므로
Numbers ‘숫자들은’ 이 되겠죠. 따라서, 굳이 숫자들을 복수로 보며 쓰지 않구요, 단수로 사용하므로, numbers of the students 는 문법상 오류입니다.
여기서 the는 한번 들어갑니다. The number of the student 는 오류입니다.
The number of students in the class is fifteen. (학생수는 15명이다)
A number of students were late for class. (많은 학생들이 수업에 지각했다)
학생 앞에 굳이 the 는 또 쓰지 않습니다.
