Dear Sir or Madam,
I work as a human resources manager and I do all of my work at home using my computer. A few months ago I needed to buy an extra hard drive to arrange all of my work files. I bought a Sony 1000GB external hard drive from your store on O’Connell Street back in May. I was using it very happily until yesterday morning when I tried to access some work files from the hard drive but it crashed. I tried turning it on and off but I couldn’t open the files.
This has caused me a lot of inconvenience. I had a work deadline that was due yesterday. Also, a number of appointments had to be cancelled because my schedule was on the hard-drive which I couldn’t check.
Yesterday afternoon I called your customer service desk but they told me I would have to wait 3 working days to be seen. I’m afraid that because my work is at such a crucial juncture, I am unable to wait that long for it to be fixed. I’m still eligible for the year-long guarantee that I was promised upon purchasing the hard-drive.
I request that my hard drive be fixed by the end of today so that I can recover all of my files. I believe that you are a reputable and honest company and I await your reply shortly.
