1.Increased tourism brings significant revenue, boosting local economies and creating jobs in industries such as hospitality and transportation, as seen in countries like Thailand and Spain.

2.Tourism promotes mutual understanding between cultures, breaking down stereotypes and fostering global tolerance, as evidenced by Japan’s growing appeal to international visitors.

 

Support the view that this is a negative trend:

1.Over-tourism often leads to environmental damage, such as pollution and destruction of ecosystems, as seen in places like Bali and the Great Barrier Reef.

2.A surge in tourism can erode local traditions and over-commercialize culture, as demonstrated by the transformation of Venice into a tourist-centered city, diluting its authentic heritage.
