Mathematical skills are more important in real life than communication skills. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Agree - mathematical skills are more useful than communication skills.

1. People need basic numeracy to manage their finances, compare prices and plan their budgets. For example, when they take out loans, they must calculate the interest they will have to pay.

2. Mathematical ability is of importance in certain professions. For example, accountants and scientists have to perform calculations accurately.

Disagree - communication skills are more important.

1. People need to interact with others in almost every aspect of their lives. In the workplace, employees must communicate with colleagues, customers and managers in order to exchange information and provide good service.

2. Communication skills play a significant role in people's success. Even when people have strong mathematical abilities, they may struggle to succeed professionally if they cannot communicate effectively.
